Ronald H "Ronney" Reynolds

District Governor

Ronney Reynolds is a native Austinite. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in accounting in 1969. He taught school for one year at Allen Junior High in Austin where he met the love of his life, Mary who later became his wife. He left Austin to pursue his career in accounting with Arthur Andersen but after a short time in Houston, came back to get married to his wife of 36 years and they set up home in Houston. Their daughter, Michelle was born while he was working at Arthur Andersen and Ronney became homesick for the hills of Austin and the place where he wanted to raise his family. So he left Houston and went to work for the State Bar of Texas in Austin. After a short spell of working for someone else, Ronney got the bug to open his own accounting firm. He is President of Reynolds and Franke, PC, a continuation of the firm he started in 1973.

Ronney and Mary have two children. Nancy Michelle is the older and teaches first grade at Pecan Spring Elementary in Austin and lives in Pflugerville. Their son, Bo got married in 2006 to Carole and they live in Bastrop. Bo has had his own handyman business for the last couple of years. They also have a grandson, Jacob from Bo's first marriage. Jacob is 11 years old and lives in Hutto. Mary is a Rotarian, a Paul Harris Fellow, and was inducted into the District 5870 Roll of Fame in 2007. She is the president and owner of Around Austin, Inc., a destination management company.

Ronney has been in the Rotary Club of Austin for 18 years with perfect attendance. He has served as President of the Club, is a Paul Harris Fellow, and is currently on the Foundation Board. For the District, he has served as Assistant Governor for two terms and he and Mary were co-chairs of the 2005 District Conference. In 2006 Ronney was inducted into the District 5870 Roll of Fame.
